A photo melt down

Rosemary Lee is an inspiring woman. And I sincerely mean that.

I went to see her piece Melt Down at this year's Dance Umbrella in Kings Cross.

I probably should have been standing silently watching her monumental piece melt before me, but it moved me and so I wanted to capture something of it.

This is what I managed.

A photo in flight

A photo in the air

I was fortunate enough to do some work with Gravity and Levity on the European Aerial Dance Festival in Brighton this summer. I wasn't officially there to take photos but I couldn't help myself. There was a real sense of joy in the room and it was such an honour to witness it.

A photo away

Woolacombe in September is a particularly wonderful place to be.
Especially when with family...and a new camera.

A photo update

It has been a busy summer. New job, new home, new city, visits to dear old friends, weddings and funerals.

Here is a tiny glimpse of what I managed to catch.

A photo fest

A tiny glimpse of how I spent my weekend.
What a glorious way to get married! Reminds me of a David Bowie number.

The sun machine is coming down, and we're gonna have a party.

A photo farewell

At the age of 81 my wonderful Grandma has sold the house she has lived in for the last 31 years, and has moved down to the Dorset coast. A woman to emulate.

I will remember that the light was beautiful and that it always smelt like Sunday lunch.

A photo of the great Great British public

A truly British day of dancing come rain come shine.
Big Dance Brighton held by South East Dance was anything but a wash out.
I returned home soaked, muddy and gleeful.
